Locally owned CarpetMe was opened in 2017. Owner Nic Gauchet has been in the flooring trade for over 16 years and as a qualified installer, Nic's new enterprise was born from a passion to share more than just a textbook knowledge of flooring with his customers. His years of hands-on experience in both installation and sales for all Dunedin's major flooring companies drove him to start his own company offering good customer service and competitiveness to the local market.
A few years later and CarpetMe is developing a reputation for quality service and affordable prices with hundreds of satisfied customers.
Nic's team of carpet and vinyl layer specialists share his love of the job, so you can rely on CarpetMe to install any type of flooring you choose to a fully professional level.
Being a 100% locally owned, non franchise, business is important. Nic is pleased to support his local community by offering financial support and warehouse space to Blessed Box - a local charity for new mothers. Family is a top priority and with two children, Nic and his wife enjoy any down-time they can manage away from the business, although he admits he's always thinking of the next project or business idea. He enjoys home gardening to produce food for the family, building and hunting.
